Heather Ashton
Heather has over 20 years of experience in the Social Housing and Higher Education sectors preceded with a career in Finance in the retail and manufacturing sectors. Â
She has extensive experience in strategic and financial business planning, treasury, mergers and acquisitions, values based transformational change, incremental performance and service improvement underpinned by solid financial accounting, governance, and compliance experience.
From 2011 to 2021 Heather was the Executive Director of Resources at Thirteen Housing Group reporting to the Chief and Executive and the Board with lead responsibility for Governance, Finance, IT, HR and Corporate Affairs. She supported the Board during a small acquisition, a group merger, she led on a group collapse and refinancing project and also raised £100m in a private placement.
Heather joined Campbell Tickell as an Associate in 2023 having most recently held the position of Executive Director of Business Change and improvement at Thirteen (2021 to 2023) playing a key role in remobilising the workforce post Covid, attaining ISO27001 (Data Security) and Cyber Essentials + whilst also leading on the group’s pension strategy and business change projects taking a lead role in union negotiations.
Heather currently sits on AHS CIC as a statutory appointee by the Regulator of Social Housing and has most recently been appointed as a Board Member at Broadacres Housing Association. She also has a certificate in Mergers and Acquisition from Imperial College (2022) and is a chartered member CIH, holds a diploma in Company Direction (IOD) is ACMA qualified and has a BA (Hons) in Geography and Economics.
