Irmani Smallwood

Irmani has worked in housing and social care for the last 25 years, focusing on homelessness, mental health, domestic abuse, learning disabilities and care leavers. From 2016 to 2020 she worked for Look Ahead as Executive Director for Business Development, a registered provider delivering supported housing and community services to over 7,000 people per year across London and the home counties. She has extensive experience of strategic reviews, strategy development, service evaluations and service growth. Prior to that she has worked for a range of providers and local authorities.

Since 2020, she has worked as a consultant with a wide variety of clients across local government, health bodies including Integrated Care Systems (ICS) and Foundation Trusts, and providers. She is also a Board Member of Thames Reach, a homelessness charity working across London and previously was a Board Member of Refugee Action.
