Director of Finance and Resources
Job Details
Connect Housing is a values driven housing association with a strong social purpose, supporting communities across West Yorkshire. In an increasingly turbulent world, our vision is to work with customers, colleagues and partners to help build a fairer and more sustainable society.
Our purpose is simple: to invest in homes and relationships that build positive futures. We believe that everyone deserves a safe and secure place to live so offer homes that meet a variety of needs and aspirations. Sometimes people need a little bit more so we also provide support services ranging from Domestic Abuse services to Dementia support. Everything we do is focussed on building a better future and hence our strong commitment to playing our part in tackling the Climate Emergency.
To support our ambitions, whilst ensuring we remain financially strong, we are seeking a Director of Finance & Resources to join our Executive Team – an influential leadership role at the heart of Connect. Reporting to the Chief Executive, this is a role with real breadth and influence, covering finance, business planning, treasury, risk, information services, business intelligence and organisational change (with no expectation of deep expertise in every area). Working closely with the Board and Executive colleagues, you will enable sound decision making and help to ensure that our resources support the delivery of our strategic objectives.
We are looking for a senior finance professional who combines technical strength with a genuine commitment to Connect’s purpose. You will be solutions focused, professionally curious, collaborative and aligned with our values – championing transparency, accountability, inclusion and continuous improvement. Experience in housing or a regulated environment is helpful, but your integrity and strategic mindset matter most.
We want our leadership to reflect the diverse communities we serve. We warmly welcome applications from people of all backgrounds, and we particularly encourage women and people from minority ethnic communities – who are currently under represented in senior roles in our sector – to consider this opportunity.
