Job Details

Help shape the future of one of Scotland’s leading social housing providers.

Cairn Housing Association is one of Scotland’s top social housing providers, managing nearly 5,000 homes and employing over 200 dedicated staff. With a turnover of £25 million, Cairn is committed to building thriving communities and delivering high-quality, person-centred housing services.

We’re now recruiting a Director of People & Insights – a brand-new, strategically significant executive role with the power to shape culture, drive strategy, and influence the future of the organisation.

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive and working closely with the Board, you’ll act as a key strategic advisor and a driving force for innovation and improvement. You’ll lead a broad and high-impact portfolio covering people and culture, public affairs, business planning, communications and marketing, customer insights, equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI), and organisational performance and impact.

This is your opportunity to place people at the heart of organisational success – strengthening culture, deepening tenant and community engagement, and enhancing Cairn’s reputation and impact.

We’re looking for a values-driven, emotionally intelligent leader with strong communication skills and a passion for people and performance. Whether your background is in housing or another sector, if you can inspire teams, deliver outcomes, and think strategically, we want to hear from you.

Join a forward-thinking, tenant-focused organisation with flexible working, a supportive executive team, and the chance to make a real, lasting difference.
