Job Details

Westminster Community Homes was initially formed in 2009 as an Industrial and Provident Society and in 2010 became a Registered Provider. We are a landlord that provides long and short-term accommodation for City Council nominees, delivering homes and other services for the benefit of people living in or wishing to live in the Westminster community.

As a smaller housing provider owning 512 homes, we aim to create high-quality sustainable homes which complement the local community and encourage thriving neighbourhoods.

To achieve our objectives, we work in close partnership with the City Council to help deliver on their overall housing strategy.

Whilst we are a comparatively small board, we are extremely passionate and committed, offering a range of professional expertise to ensure we can collectively play a part in steering the strategic direction of the organisation. Due to a number of members reaching their full term of office, we are now seeking to appoint three new Board Members with particular expertise across finance, property investment and compliance; and generalist leadership, bringing broader strategic insight and experience to complement the existing Board.

This could be your first board position, but you will bring good oversight of governance and risk management within the social housing sector.

The organisation is committed to “Building a Brighter Future for All”. If you are committed and wish to contribute to debate and decision making that makes a genuine impact upon people’s lives, then we would love to hear from you.
