Campbell Tickell is proud to have become a Friend of the Stop Social Housing Stigma campaign, supporting its vital work to challenge negative perceptions and promote understanding around social housing and the people who live in it.
Stop Social Housing Stigma is a growing national campaign focused on tackling the unfair stereotypes that too often affect social housing residents. The campaign shines a light on the real experiences of tenants and calls for a more balanced and respectful narrative, offering resources for landlords and tenants. Its recent tenant survey report, Widespread, structural, deeply felt, highlights the scale and impact of stigma in social housing.
We were delighted to welcome Yaw Boateng, Nic Bliss and Sally Trueman from the Stop Social Housing Stigma campaign to our offices recently. The visit provided a valuable opportunity to explore the challenges facing tenants, including the impact of stigma on wellbeing, services and community cohesion. We also discussed how organisations across the sector can work together to address these issues and how Campbell Tickell can best support the campaign’s ambitions going forward.

Becoming a Friend of Stop Social Housing Stigma reflects our ongoing commitment to supporting a fairer housing sector. We look forward to continuing the conversation and contributing to collective efforts to challenge stigma and champion the positive role of social housing in people’s lives.
