Case Study
Reviewing and revising membership fees
CT was commissioned to review and advise on the SFHA’s system.
The Brief
Campbell Tickell was commissioned to review and advise on the SFHA’s system for setting membership fees, with considerable support from their members.
SFHA is the voice and membership body for housing associations and co-operatives in Scotland.
“The SFHA adopted a version of our proposal which is in its first year of successful implementation.”
Our Approach
We worked on the following:
01
In order to do this, CT consulted widely, and conducted a survey to better understand the views of members.
02
We also contacted a number of non-members to get their views on the membership fees.
03
Our research also involved reviewing fee-setting systems of other membership bodies, in housing and in other sectors, in the UK and beyond.
The Results
The SFHA adopted a version of our proposal which is in its first year of successful implementation.
