The Chandran Foundation school meal appeal
The Chandran Foundation aims to raise attainment levels for children across London, many of whom, because of difficult family circumstances, may be falling behind their peers. All their programmes are completely free to the schools and families they support, ensuring every child is able to access quality educational support.
The pandemic has made a difficult situation even more challenging for the young people we work with. To counteract the crisis, they have moved their tutoring online and are currently expanding their GetFed scheme to reach more children across London.
GetFed Appeal: free meals for children in need
The Chandran Foundation’s GetFed programme works with schools to provide children with free, nutritious meals. The coronavirus crisis has shown how many low-income families struggle to afford the costs of food for their children and the wealth gap is wider than ever before.
In response, the Chandran Foundation are now expanding the GetFed scheme to offer free meals for children in need throughout the upcoming Christmas period, ensuring no child has to go hungry.
Just £15 provides a child with healthy meals for one week.
With your support, the Chandran Foundation can make a difference to the lives of some of the most disadvantaged young people in our society.
