Greg CampbellPartner, Campbell TickellGreg is a strategic management consultant and Campbell Tickell Partner. A consultant for over 20 years, he has worked directly with more than 500 organisations across the UK and Ireland, and beyond. He has extensive national networks and is a frequent speaker on the operating environment and corporate strategy.
He has led governance and strategy reviews for councils, housing associations, care providers, sports and leisure trusts and charities. He has advised the government housing regulators for England and Ireland on regulation matters, and led CT’s work with the Irish housing regulator under the previous regulatory regime to develop all three branches of regulation: finance, governance, and service performance. He has led troubleshooting and service improvement assignments for a range of councils, housing associations, care providers and charities. These have included advising on governance and associated matters for a number of organisations dealing with regulatory matters. He has overseen numerous investigations into serious matters at housing associations, in England, Scotland, Wales and the Republic of Ireland, frequently with the involvement of the respective regulators. He has also written a code of governance for football clubs.
He has worked on mergers, including identifying potential partners, brokering deals, and project managing merger processes and due diligence. He has advised on business development projects for both non-profit and commercial organisations, including market analysis, service design, and branding, and tender reviews.
He has project managed and advised on numerous procurement and contracting exercises. His work has covered everything from contract strategy, through soft market testing, to tender evaluation and post-tender negotiation. He has advised on PFI contracts, and has initiated and overseen various joint procurement initiatives. He formerly advised the English Local Government Employers on TUPE and on pensions in service contracting.
Greg has a broad-ranging background in HR and recruitment, over 25 years, and has undertaken numerous search and selection exercises, particularly for Chief Executives, Finance Directors and Board Chairs. He has moreover been the external advisor for the selection of Boards and Executive Teams in a merger context.
Greg is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Housing. He has been a non-executive board member of two housing associations, and a housing development consultancy. He is now a director of the property adviser to a social impact investor, Funding Affordable Homes.
