The Women’s Housing Forum: Membership appeal

Join the Women’s Housing Forum

There is no region in England where a woman on an average woman’s income can afford a privately rented property. The Women’s Housing Forum (WHF) is working to raise awareness of the links between women’s housing needs and gender inequality.

The gender-pay gap and domestic abuse are leading causes of homelessness for women. These have been exacerbated by COVID-19. Indeed, women, especially Black, Asian and ethnic minority women, are disproportionately affected by the socio-economic impact of the coronavirus pandemic. As such, safe, secure, affordable accommodation for women is a key factor in tackling inequality.

Join to help tackle these inequalities.

Membership

Members of the Women’s Housing Forum will be given the opportunity to meet regularly, attend and co-host events for the sector, share best practice and collaborate on projects or services. Events can be tailored for teams and corporate members.

To date, the WHF has hosted conferences and events, partnered with the National Housing Federation and Women’s Budget Group, to deliver fundamental research, and appeared on BBC Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour.

Our steering group is made up of members from Housing for Women, Women’s Pioneer Housing, Shelter, The National Housing Federation and TPAS.

Individual membership is free. Organisational membership fees depend on annual income.
