Having worked with a wide range of organisations, we’ve learned that some basic foundation points really help in moving full compliance forward: a decent website, with some proper consideration of what kind information is shared about the Board and performance, as well as a Board member handbook of some kind that contains key documents such as role descriptions, policies around skills, appointments, renewal and Board evaluation, a code of conduct, conflicts of interest, and so on.
