Rents and service charges: setting the standard

Since the revised Rent Standard was introduced in 2020, Campbell Tickell has supported numerous housing associations and local authorities to ensure their rents and service charges are correct.

How we can help:

  • Reviewing rent and service charge levels
  • Ensuring compliance policies and procedures are followed
  • Guidance on determining whether there are any issues with rent or service charges
  • Assurance for the Board that rents are being set correctly
  • Calculating any overcharges or undercharges
  • Exploring any regulatory queries, e.g. on Statistical Data Returns
  • Advising organisations that are exempt

“Wokingham Borough Council engaged Campbell Tickell to assist in rent compliance and regulatory work. CT were great and helped us get the right result for Wokingham Borough Council and its tenants.

I regard CT as a go-to organisation and would recommend them to other social landlords who have such issues.”

Simon Price, Assistant Director Neighbourhoods and Communities, Wokingham Borough Council
