Helen has worked in the housing and care and support sector for over 22 years and has provided successful consultancy support since 2004. Helen specialises in commissioning and co-producing care and housing support services.
As a consultant and interim manager, she carried out a number of assignments. These include: Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council, where co-produced the remodelling of housing related support to achieve 45% cost efficiencies; Middlesbrough Council and Homeless Link, where she carried out a strategic homelessness needs assessment, similarly at Warrington Borough Council; Knowsley Borough Council, where she delivered an Extra Care sufficiency strategy. She also carried out governance, safeguarding and strategic review of a group supported housing; Manchester City Council Supporting People, she assisted with the Manchester Supported Housing Master Plan.

- Delivering a review of Supported Housing for the largest Housing Association in Northern Ireland and making recommendations for future governance, risk management and strategic development.
- Helen just completed a quality assessment review of a range of registered care home and domiciliary services in context of changes brought about by Wales Regulation & Inspection of Social Care Act in April 2018. Helen played a central role in the design of the review methodology as well as delivery, gap analysis, support to current thinking and practice, advice on how to address these and resources needed and an integrated governance framework for care and support.
