Dawn is a HR practitioner with over 20 years’ experience managing a range of HR and OD projects. Having spent most of her career in Local Government, holding senior positions with organisations such as the London Boroughs of Islington, Lambeth, the London Development Agency, and providing consultancy services to Southwark Council, Dawn joined Campbell Tickell as a Senior Consultant (HR & OD) in December 2017, overseeing our Executive and Non-Executive recruitment offer.
Throughout her career, Dawn has managed executive level recruitment, significant organisational wide transformation programmes, procured and implemented online recruitment, L&D and performance management systems, and used her excellent interpersonal skills to design and implement behavioural and competency frameworks in collaboration with a range of stakeholders.
- In July 2019, Dawn managed Board Member recruitment for Origin Housing, successfully sourcing a pool of high calibre candidates, resulting in the client appointing two individuals instead of their initial quota of one. These appointments also helped to improve the diversity of the Board, which was something Origin were keen to do.
- Dawn also managed NED recruitment for Wandle Housing, again sourcing a high calibre of candidates resulting in two appointments being made instead of one, one of which was a younger individual with no prior NED experience, but excellent strategic insight and extensive Development experience.
- In February 2020, Dawn supported Golden Lane Housing, who commissioned Campbell Tickell to support them with recruitment for two NEDs, having previously gone to market directly. The client was seeking skills in Housing, Finance & Audit and Legal, and candidates who ideally had or were connected to someone with lived experience, as this client supports adults with learning disabilities. The client was impressed at the calibre of candidates presented to them at longlist stage. The pool was diverse in terms of age, gender and ethnicity and several individuals had close connections with people with lived experience. Both appointees were sourced via our Search, one of which was directly connected to an individual with lived experience. “Golden Lane Housing reached out to Campbell Tickell to support with the recruitment of two Trustees to our Board. Dawn has a degree in Human Resource Management, is a member of the CIPD and a Prince2 qualified practitioner.
