5 August – CT Regulatory Returns Masterclass (Online)
- August 5, 2020
- 10:00 am to 12:00 pm
£285.00 – £783.00
The Regulator of Social housing has been noticeably fastidious of late about the accuracy of the data returns it receives, and data quality has been mentioned as a factor in several recent governance downgrades.
At Campbell Tickell we have supported a wide range of housing associations as they prepare their regulatory returns, as well as undertaking lessons learned exercises and preparing improvement plans when submissions have proved inadequate.
In this masterclass we will cover common errors and best practice for aligning your processes to improve the quality of your returns.
Who should attend?
Chairs, Audit Committee Chairs, Board Members, Chief Executives, Finance Directors, Company Secretaries and those charged with Governance responsibilities.
- 09.50 – Registrations/log-in
- 10.00 – Masterclass starts
- 12.00 – Close
Andy Howarth, Director of Finance, WHG
Andy is Director of Finance at whg and he has worked in housing for over 18 years with previous experience in the private sector and the NHS.
A corporate finance specialist, Andy’s experience of working collaboratively with funders to deliver successful mergers and group structure changes has been critical.
Gloria Yang, Director of Finance, Origin Housing
Gloria joined Origin Housing in December 2018 as the Director of Finance from Clarion, where she worked on system implementation and integration following the merger of Affinity Sutton and Circle.
Prior to that, Gloria was the Director of Finance for East Thames, and worked in a range of Finance, Planning and Change roles for Wandle, Metropolitan and Affinity Sutton. Gloria is an independent member of the Audit Committee for Phoenix Community Housing and she is a Fellow member of ACCA.
Lee Allsopp, Finance Director (Operations), Onward Homes
Lee has worked in Housing for almost 30 years and has been with Onward since 1998. He has wide experience in a variety of activities including stock transfers, business planning, loan negotiations, restructures and regulatory and statutory reporting.
Most recently Lee has established and developed a Business Partner team to support Onward’s Operations and Property directorates. Lee was also part of the team that successfully recovered Onward’s G1 rating in 2019.
In all that time his most rewarding experience was working with the Handforth and Knowle Park tenants and residents committee to help deliver the stock transfer promises on their transfer from Manchester – a perfect opportunity for a Finance person to work hand in hand with our customers and to recognise what Social Housing is all about.
