Chair Designate and Board Member
Job Details
B3Living is a community-focused, socially driven organisation serving Broxbourne and southeast Hertfordshire. We manage 5,500 homes, supporting over 13,000 residents. Guided by strong values, our mission is to drive sustainable, positive change in tackling the housing crisis for our customers and communities.
As part of our succession planning, we are seeking to appoint a Chair Designate and a new Board Member to join our governance-focused board team.
The Chair Designate will play a pivotal role in shaping financial strategy, driving long-term strategic vision, and fostering a collaborative, engaged board culture. Strong communication and a passion for ensuring the board remains responsive to customer needs are essential. While experience in housing isn’t required, leadership expertise, particularly in chairing committees or boards, is highly valued.
For the Board Member position, we are looking for a finance professional with a strong background in treasury, risk management, and finance. While prior board experience is not essential, a solid understanding of governance in a regulated environment is crucial. Strong chairing skills would also be a valuable asset. You will also be expected to serve on our Audit and Risk Committee, with the position of Chair for this committee becoming available in 2025.
For both roles, a deep commitment to our mission and a passion for strategic leadership are more important than being from the local area.
