Westminister City Council – Director of Housing
Our vision is for Westminster to be an unrivalled City of choice and aspiration where the connections we build amongst our teams, residents, businesses and visitors gets stronger as everyone plays their part in and benefits from the city’s continued success.
About the role
Westminster City Council owns some 21,000 homes, with 12,000 tenants and 9,000 leaseholders. Following an options appraisal, the City has decided to return the delivery of its housing services into the Council from April 2019. Project work is in progress. The new Director will lead and direct the service, reporting to the Executive Director Growth, Planning and Housing, and liaising with elected Members. Fundamentally, this will involve ensuring the transformation is a success so that our tenants and leaseholders receive the highest quality services.
At the same time, the role is responsible for the City’s management of homelessness services. Homelessness in central London is a significant challenge, and you will lead the service delivered in partnership with voluntary agencies.
