Independent Committee Member- Group Asset and Development Committee – Broadacres
Broadacres is a forward-looking housing provider that works throughout North Yorkshire in an area of high demand with a strong rural focus – this makes us different to many housing associations.
About the role
Currently owning and managing more than 6,500 homes, our vision is to be the best rural housing organisation in England. For rural don’t think sleepy back water, this is an organisation that is ambitious to grow, is looking to contribute to the sustainability agenda of North Yorkshire with its focus on affordable warmth, delivers great customer experience and is an important place-shaper in North Yorkshire.
We are now seeking to recruit a new independent committee member who brings senior experience in property development and investment. An understanding of the region’s rural affordability challenges will be key, as will your understanding of the sector. You will also have a strong understanding that good governance is as much about people and relationships as it is about structure and process.
This is a well-performing organisation that puts a high premium on equality of opportunity, reflecting that the tapestry of communities and neighbourhoods are made richer by diversity and inclusion.
If you are passionate about the importance of the continued delivery of high-quality homes and services in rural and sometimes isolated areas and wish to join an organisation that is ambitious and recognises the importance of being a place-shaper in the region, then please contact our retained consultant Kelly Shaw at Campbell Tickell on 07900 363803 or email firstname.lastname@example.org for an informal conversation.
