Head of Youth Violence Intervention Programme – Red Thread
We play an important role in tackling the effects of youth violence across London and the Midlands. We use the principles and power of youth work to provide a range of support to young people who have experienced violence, trauma and exploitation, starting in A&E departments and culminating in them being connected with a range of support services.
About the role
As our Head of YVIP, your effective management of a team of programme managers will be instrumental in ensuring that young people who have been victims of violence receive timely support.
From a strategic level, you will oversee interventions that help victims overcome trauma, reflect on some of their life choices and begin a new chapter. Your experience of working with young people, managing programmes at a senior level, and leading teams, coupled with your ability to work with a range of partners to design and implement more initiatives for the client group, will be invaluable. You will understand the context within which young people live, be fully versed in all aspects of safeguarding and be a credible senior leader – one who commands respect from your team and stakeholders through your persona, understanding that robust relationships are key to success.
If you are passionate about making a difference to the lives of vulnerable young people, want to contribute to creating a society where all young people live healthy, safe and happy lives, and have experience of improving services, then call Dawn Matthews on 020 3434 0990 or 07757 732 260.
