Berneslai Homes is the housing company that manages over 18,300 homes on behalf of Barnsley Council, with a strong community focus across a borough with a unique blend of rural, town centre, and urban housing.
About the role
Following the appointment of our new Chief Executive and the imminent renewal of our 10-year management agreement with the Council we are well positioned to enter what is a substantial period of change for us and the wider social housing sector.
As our new Director of Property Services, you will have the opportunity to help shape our new 10-year vision and Strategic Plan, as well as lead the development of a new asset management and investment strategy and refresh our approach to customer health and safety. You will drive the cultural change needed to ensure our property compliance, development and delivery of all maintenance services achieve best in class.
An experienced property professional, you will have the vision and creativity to transform services, the ability to enthuse and inspire people and the skills to work effectively with a wide range of partners and stakeholders.
