About the role

Broadacres is a forward-looking housing organisation with a strong rural focus which makes us different to many housing associations. It operates in North Yorkshire, a huge area with a high demand for affordable housing.

Currently owning and managing more than 6,600 homes, our vision is to be the best rural housing organisation in England. For rural don’t think sleepy back water, this is an organisation that is ambitious to grow, is looking to contribute to the sustainability agenda of North Yorkshire with our focus on energy efficiency and decarbonising our homes, delivering great customer experiences and being an important place-shaper in North Yorkshire.

The organisation is now seeking to recruit a Director of People, Digital and Communications to join our Executive Team and make an effective contribution to the strategic direction of the organisation as we launch our new Corporate Strategy. The role reports directly to the Chief Executive and will provide effective leadership to the people, digital and communications team. This is great opportunity to have an impact on our customer and colleague experience.

This is an exciting role to embed a strong customer focussed culture, inspiring colleagues to deliver the very best customer experience while overseeing the transformation of the digital platform and driving customer insight from our communications team. You will be a representative of Broadacres vision internally and externally.

To do this role you will need a passion for rural housing and an understanding of the social housing sector or similar.

Whilst there is no expectation to be living in the region, an understanding of the rural location, with some knowledge or insight of the North Yorkshire region, is required. We are a high-performing organisation that puts a premium on equality of opportunity, reflecting that the tapestry of communities and neighbourhoods are made richer by diversity and inclusion.
