Director of Finance and Resources – Eden Housing Association
About the role
Eden Housing Association is a niche community-based housing provider that is celebrating its 25th anniversary. Based in Penrith, we are clear about our ambitions and have confidence in retaining an independent future, since the organisation plays a critical role in providing affordable homes and valuable services across rural communities.
Service quality is good, and delivered by a fantastic, caring and motivated staff team and as a smaller provider we continue to make a significant impact.
Following a strategic review by the board we are now recruiting our new Director of Finance & Resources who will play a crucial role in ensuring that we can continue to make that vital contribution to villages, towns and parishes across our rural neighbourhoods. Whilst we are operating in a challenging environment with a cost of living crisis, we do feel that our new Director of Finance and Resources will be starting with a solid foundation. This a broad portfolio covering finance, ICT, compliance, governance and HR. We therefore seek a leader who will work closely with staff and Board to inspire and support across this range of important services.
You may be a first time Director, keen to prove yourself at this level or you may already be a Director looking for change or seeking the responsibility to take on a wider range of services. However, you are likely to have operated in the housing sector and have a strong belief in the impact that social housing can make. This is rewarding, meaningful and impactful work and will suit a housing professional who shares the belief that smaller providers can be efficient and have a crucial role to play across the social housing landscape.
