Chair – St Martin of Tours
We are a specialist mental health housing association, providing a range of registered care and supported accommodation, across London. We have a long track record of delivering positive outcomes for people with complex mental health needs. We are very committed to meeting the housing needs of a vulnerable group that often struggles to find suitable housing. We currently have capacity to support c.100 individuals across our seven locations in London, which include registered care and supported living services, delivering on the needs of our residents and facilitating independent living.
About the role
As our new Chair, you will share our vision to be the housing provider of choice across London for people with complex needs, in order to support their mental health recovery. You will be ready to engage with the whole organisation, to ensure a sound governance environment within a recently refreshed Board, and to work with both Board and executive to ensure both our financial stability and our ability to develop and expand.
While we are open to this being your first Chair role, you will be an experienced non-executive, with strong strategic, financial, business, and commercial skills, and be someone who sees leadership as a shared endeavour. You will have gained skills and experience at a senior level in either health, social care, housing, or a local authority environment, and will be able to demonstrate a strong alignment with our values.
Whilst the role is unremunerated Board members can claim any expenses incurred in undertaking this role, with the opportunity for funded learning and development opportunities.
