Chair of Audit and Risk Committee – Newlon Housing Trust

Location(s): North London
Closing date: 09 Oct 2023
Salary: £7,765 pa

About the role

At Newlon we believe passionately that the delivery of high-quality affordable homes and services have the power to make a positive difference to people’s lives and life chances.

We also take great pride in working in the UK’s most diverse city.

If you share our ethos, then this could be a great opportunity to join a friendly and focused Board team in this business-critical role. This is a dual role, where you are both a Committee Chair and member of the main Board. So, managing relationships and information flow across this set-up is a key part of this role.

We seek a finance professional, who has prior Board experience, and exposure to risk management. You may or may not come from the housing sector, but you will need to understand the role of assurance in a business and/or a regulated environment. Your people skills are key, and we place a high premium upon an active commitment to working inclusively and collaboratively. It is a friendly and supportive culture, with a skilled staff and Board team.

It’s a great opportunity to contribute to an organisation that values diversity, service excellence and placemaking; and one where your skills and perspectives will be highly valued.
