Chair – North Somerset Environment Company
On behalf of the Council, North Somerset Environment Company is seeking colleagues to join this new Board. It’s a great opportunity to get in on the ground-floor of an ambitious start-up.
About the role
The Company delivers waste management, recycling and commercial cleaning services, to ensure the regions’ households have access to high quality and value for money services. We are also establishing and meeting social value targets, so that the Company proactively contributes to job creation, community wellbeing and environmental sustainability.
We want to reflect the diversity of our region and welcome different perspectives, recognising that will strengthen our collective leadership and effectiveness as a Board.
The Board will take responsibility for oversight of business performance and assurance, so insight into good governance is essential. While the Chair role requires prior Board experience, the NED roles do not. People who have good business acumen, prefer working collaboratively and are keen to contribute to the region’s economic success and wellbeing, will be very welcome.
