About the role
We are an ambitious development company created and owned by the London Borough of Bexley to help drive the Council’s housing growth strategy.
With the resource to make a positive difference to the quality and availability of housing we aim to deliver exemplar schemes of homes for private and affordable rent, shared ownership and market sale. Our aim is to deliver 1,200
quality homes for Bexley residents by 2032 with the ambition to provide more new homes where market conditions and opportunities allow.
In our new Chairman we are looking for someone who understands good governance and brings previous non-executive Board or Committee Chair experience in a growth orientated and customer focused organisation. We will also be looking for experience of, or exposure to, housing development, regeneration and place-making along with the personal credibility and confidence to engage with key stakeholders and an understanding of the nuances of working closely with our sole shareholder.
