Board Members – Broadacres Housing Association
About the role
Broadacres is a medium sized forward-looking housing organisation that works throughout North Yorkshire in an area of high demand with a strong rural focus – this makes us different to many housing associations.
Currently owning and managing more than 6,700 homes, our vision is to be the best rural housing organisation in the country. For rural don’t think sleepy backwater, this is an organisation that is ambitious to grow, is looking to contribute to the sustainability agenda of North Yorkshire with its focus on energy efficiency and decarbonising its homes, delivers great customer experience and is an important place-shaper in North Yorkshire.
Governance is at the heart of our organisation, and we now seek to recruit two new Board Members who can offer a range of skills which include Financial/Treasury and Digital/Customer experience.
However, overall, this is about putting customers at the heart of any decision making made by the board and ensuring diversity of thought throughout the Group.
Whilst there is no expectation to be living in the region, an understanding of rural locations is required, with some knowledge of the North Yorkshire region.
