Walsall Housing Group is looking for an exceptional Group Chief Executive to replace Liz Walford. After leading us successfully for the last five years, Liz is taking well-earned retirement at the end of 2009.
Walsall Housing Group owns and manages around 20,000 homes across Walsall, housing over a fifth of the Borough's population. We are very proud of what we have achieved since transfer in 2003, and have set ourselves a series of challenging goals for the future. We have a great reputation for providing good, affordable housing, improving services and raising resident satisfaction. We work alongside customers and residents to transform communities and deliver national priorities at a local level. We have invested over £350m to date in improving our current housing and providing new affordable homes within a strategic regeneration framework and have a further £120m planned.

- Experience of leading, developing and motivating a large and diverse group of colleagues
- Visions, with a strong strategic approach and the ability to deliver change
- Passion and commitment to improving the lives of residents in Walsall
